How can we help?
Beyond an unprecedented human health crisis, this pandemic is causing far reaching economic impacts. You, like many, may also be concerned about how this situation will affect your financial outlook.
In this regard, the long term perspective that comes with having a plan, and a view of your current risk exposure can both help. Above all, merely speaking with an experienced financial professional can help address concerns across a myriad of topics, from cash flow, to the impact on when you can project to retire.
See the links below for some of the ways Moors & Cabot can support you during this time:
Our Current COVID-19 Response
As you know, the world is experiencing a crisis in the form of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This has given investors ample reason to wonder about the security of their financial future, as well as their personal health and wellbeing.
Our number one priority is the safety and health of our employees and our clients in all locations. As have many institutions across our industry, Moors & Cabot is taking steps to ensure that we can continue supporting our clients to the best of our ability. We would like to share information about the plans we have in place in the hopes that it will help put your mind at ease when it comes to your accounts.
A Strategic Response
Moors & Cabot has established a cross-functional COVID-19 response team. We have prevention measures in place corporate-wide, and we are coordinating with local health officials, office facilities managers, and cleaning services for the health and safety of our employees and our clients.
We are taking both a strategic and a tactical approach to contingency planning and with our communication procedures to ensure business continuity. Core personnel have access to our offices to process incoming mail, and clients who cannot send physical forms or letters of authorization by mail can now take pictures of completed forms and letters with a cell phone camera and e-mail them to their advisors as long as the following criteria are met:
The form must be complete, legible, and signed.
Copies of any required accompanying documentation is included.
The entire form must be pictured, including the bar code at the top and the version date at the bottom.
Please click on the icons below for examples of forms that are in good order and forms that are not in good order.
To best protect our clients and employees, 90% of our workforce is working from home, and—as is being done across the industry—we are using our technology as a replacement for in-person meetings. The following measures are currently in place:
Clients can reach their financial professionals using the same phone numbers they use when calling their professionals at their offices.
Moors & Cabot has video conferencing capabilities to allow financial professionals to connect with clients face-to-face. If there are any difficulties, our financial professionals and IT group are ready to provide assistance.
There will always be someone from Moors & Cabot to answer a client call.
In-Person Meetings and Canceling Travel
All business travel has been cancelled until further notice. Additionally, we are currently unable to host client meetings in our offices. As stay-at-home orders are lifted over time—and in areas where we have a physical location and stay-at-home orders have been lifted—M&C is developing a phased strategic re-opening effort but will continue to put the safety of its employees and clients as the highest priority. As such, we strongly encourage remote video calls or phone conferences as the primary way to engage with your investment professional(s) in the interim. This situation will remain fluid and dynamic for the foreseeable future. Additional updates will be posted here.
We have a plan, and we are prepared. Please keep in mind that the situation is rapidly evolving, and we will keep you updated via the Moors & Cabot website, as well as our social media pages. Please check these sources frequently for updates.
