Profile

Bob Sullivan opened the Brockton office on March 20, 1978.  His energetic dedication to his clients has allowed him to provide successful advice and counsel to many individuals, businesses, institutions, and trusts.  Bob’s 47 years of experience in the investment field has taught him to learn as much as possible about the client’s objectives, resources and preferences so that the client has a portfolio that reflects their individual circumstances.  His knowledge of stock and bond portfolio development are important ingredients towards his client’s success in a sometimes esoteric financial landscape.  He attempts to share his knowledge so that the client comes to understand the balance of a portfolio and how it attempts to meet their long-term goals.

One of Bob’s areas of focus is local and regional banking, giving clients an opportunity to invest in “home grown”, local New England institutions.  Our Quarterly Table helps clients understand the banking climate and the consequences of changes in the local banking landscape.  An additional area of attention is providing conservative guidance in the development of municipal bond portfolios for secure tax exempt income and guaranteed return of principal in very liquid investments.

At Moors and Cabot we maintain an ethical code of conduct that meets or exceeds the necessary standards to safeguard our client’s interests and reflects the important regulatory requirements of the financial services industry.

Bob has served in leadership rolls on many charitable and civic boards including the Braintree St Coletta Day  School,  St. Coletta of Massachusetts, Catholic Charities of the Old Colony Area, The Easton Junior Hockey League and the Commercial Club of Brockton.  He has supported the YMCA Stronger Kids, The Jimmy Fund, The Balsamo Family Foundation, Conway Country for the Homeless, Brockton Boxers Baseball, The Brain Tumor Society and many more wonderful charities.

Bob Sullivan’s background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College with a major in Finance from the College of Business Administration.  He served three and a half years as an officer in the United States Navy.  Bob and his wife Donna will soon celebrate fifty years of marriage, certainly the best investment of his life.  They are very proud parents of two grown children.  Besides his business Bob enjoys golf, fishing and travel.
