Michael “Brad” East is a Managing Director of Investments with Moors & Cabot, Inc., a private investment brokerage firm established in 1890 with headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts. The Firm has continuously operated from this headquarters building since it was built by the Firm in 1892.

Brad opened the Phoenix office for M&C in November, 2003. From 2000-2003 Brad was with Van Kasper & Co., a San Francisco based boutique investment management/brokerage firm that was subsequently acquired by Wells Fargo Corporation. Brad began his investment practice in 1992 with J.W. Garrett & Co. Inc., a leading Arizona investment brokerage firm located in Phoenix and was appointed Senior Vice President within two years.

Brad has served a number of volunteer roles in the community. He was involved with the Executive Council of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix where he held numerous positions, most notably as Chairman of a Nationwide PGA Tour Event. He is also currently serving on the Board of Directors of the University of Arizona Alumni Association as well as serving on the Board of Directors of the Phoenix Country Club.

Brad moved to Tucson in 1988 to attend the University of Arizona where he played on the University’s nationally-ranked golf team. He graduated from the University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his wife, Melinda, and daughters Hannah and Emmegale.
