Sharon spent 25 years at Merrill Lynch as a financial consultant (1983-2008).  She joined Moors and Cabot in October of 2008.

Sharon’s area of concentration for servicing her clients is using conservative income to help her clients achieve their financial goals.

Mr. Dettloff has been a Financial Advisor for 35 years; many of those years serving in a branch management capacity for Paine Webber/UBS and Morgan Stanley.

David received his B.S. in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.  He focuses his business on the area of retirement planning and considers proper allocation and diversification critical to protecting and building clients’ wealth.

David is focused on addressing the uncertainties surrounding eldercare and raising awareness to the rise in costs.  He has developed a team of specialists in the eldercare industry to assist in creating customized solutions.

Courtney Bridge

Courtney Bridge is a collaborative partner in building strategic financial portfolios and optimal retirement plans. She works professionally with leaders in the industry to conduct thorough financial analysis through trend forecasting and risk assessment. Courtney is innovative with style and approach in communication and new business development and has a mastery in Money Guide Pro financial planning software. She is a prior Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Service Trainer, and Behavioral Interviewer.


Courtney is a graduate of the East Carolina University School of Business and Hospitality Management program and attended Tufts University, Institute for Nonprofit Practice, graduate 2018. She is an active member in the local philanthropic community. Courtney holds SIE and Series 63, 66, and 7 licenses, as well as Life and Health Insurance Licenses.

Matthew J. Johnson, CFP®, ChFC®, AEP®

Prior to his role at Moors & Cabot, Matthew was a Senior Financial Planner at Aviance Capital Management in Naples, Florida for the last 5 years. He dedicated his time to servicing his client base with detailed financial plans and building the overall planning department at Aviance. Previous to his role at Aviance, Matthew was a Financial Advisor with Citi Personal Wealth Management in New York City for 15 years. He developed comprehensive wealth management solutions for High-Net-Worth Individuals.


Matthew holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner, CFP®. He has attained the Chartered Financial Consultant designation, ChFC®, and is an Accredited Estate Planner, AEP®. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. He has obtained Executive Certificates from Fordham University and The Wharton School Aresty Institute of Executive Education. Matthew was selected for Leadership Collier (LC’20) and currently serves on the board of directors for the Naples Estate Planning Council.

Matthew is committed to developing clients’ overall financial plans. Matthew is dedicated to meeting clients’ personalized goals based on their individual risk tolerance and time horizon. Matthew brings a breadth and depth of experience in finding efficiencies for each facet of financial planning; cash flow management, investment strategy, tax planning, risk management, retirement planning, and estate planning.


Matthew and his wife Kristin live on the water in Bonita Springs, FL where they are raising their young son Timothy along with 3 Labrador Retrievers, Walter, Charlie, and Matilda. As a family, they enjoy the outdoors: boating, fishing, and the beach as well as indoor activities: board games, listening to music, and cooking together. Matthew enjoys coaching his son’s youth sports teams and is a NY Yankees, Syracuse University, and Buffalo Bills fan. Personal interests also include volunteering, community involvement, gardening,golf, and vintage vehicles.

Thomas Massey

Mr. Massey holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Tampa.  He joined Moors and Cabot in 2011 and had previously worked as a Financial Advisor for both Raymond James (2001-2006) and Merrill Lynch (2006-2011).

Tom services his clients in the areas of asset and liability management.  His goal is to assist families and business owners helping them to grow and protect their wealth.  Mr. Massey adheres to a disciplined process delivering a consistent yet customized approach drawing on his years of management experience.

Tom is a past member of the Merrill Lynch Executive Club and lists among his interests fitness, golfing and fishing.

Brad Buttner

Brad Buttner is a Financial Advisor at Moors & Cabot’s Boston office, specializing in stocks, bonds & annuities. Prior to starting a career in financial planning, Brad graduated from the prestigious Tabor Academy in Marion, and went on to receive a B.S. in economics from Rollins College in Florida.

Upon graduation, Brad started his career in financial planning at Legg Mason Wood Walker before moving onto Janney Montgomery Scott and finally Moors & Cabot.

 

Mr. Buttner is an avid golfer and has belonged to many golf related organizations such as the Massachusetts Golf Association, the US Golf Association, Plymouth Country Club (former President), Hickory Shafts (former President), & the New England Senior Golf Association.

Brian Cotroneo

Brian graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 2008, starting his career with Merrill Lynch that same year as an Institutional Equity Sales analyst.  In 2011, Brian fulfilled a childhood dream and joined the United States Navy as a Naval Flight Officer. He spent 8 years serving as Tactical Coordinator, Mission Commander, and Weapons Tactics Instructor for the Maritime Patrol & Reconnaissance Force, accumulating over 1,200 flight hours and deploying to the Middle East, Central America, and Indo-Pacific areas of operation. In 2019, Brian earned his Master of Science in Finance from Georgetown University and transitioned out of the Navy, back into the civilian finance sector.  In 2020 he began working as a Wealth Advisor at Aviance Capital Partners located in Naples, FL, focusing on financial planning and portfolio management.  Brian joined Moors & Cabot in June of 2023.


Brian focuses on providing planning and portfolio management services to individuals interested in a customized solution to their personal financial situation.  As a function of his background and experience, he has historically worked with military veterans, small business owners, and accredited/high-net-worth individuals.


One of Brian’s specialty focus areas is Special Needs Financial Planning - a focus area that developed from his personal experience with the special needs community.  As a Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC), Brian works with individuals and their families to develop special needs life plans and identify funding sources to enhance a person’s quality of life.


Brian currently lives in Ponte Vedra, FL with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid Villanova basketball and NY Giants football fan as well as an amateur Triathlete.  Brian is also an active member of his parish church, the Jacksonville Villanova Alumni Network, CFA Society Jacksonville, and Estate Planning Council of Northeast Florida.

Travis Koch

As a Vice President – Investments and Investment Advisor Representative at Moors & Cabot, Travis works closely with individuals, families, and businesses by focusing on a needs-based approach to help them achieve their overall long-term financial goals. He is excited to be a part of a firm with a longstanding reputation and focus on planning resources, client engagement, and cutting-edge technology.


For more than 18 years, Travis has been helping clients achieve financial success by utilizing financial planning to develop and implement appropriate strategies and solutions. Prior to joining Moors & Cabot, he worked as a Vice President, Sr. Financial Advisor with BMO Harris Financial Advisors (formerly M&I Marshall & Ilsley), receiving numerous honors and awards from both firms. Before joining BMO Harris, Travis began his career in the financial services industry in 2002 with Edward Jones Investments. He holds numerous securities and insurance licenses.


Travis is passionate about working with families on multi-generational planning and seeing the impact and overall results for the clients and families he serves. Over the years, he has also enjoyed working with many local groups and non-profit organizations to support and serve the local community including the Salvation Army, Junior Achievement, and Rotary International. He has also served as a past member of the annual gala committee for Royal Palm Academy, the Chaine des Rotisseurs wine committee, and with the University of MN Southwest FL Alumni Association Advisory Board. Travis looks forward to continuing his involvement to support the Naples, FL and Fox Cities, WI communities.


Travis enjoys spending his free time fishing, boating, and enjoying the outdoors with his wife and daughter.
