Heading 2
David is a CFP® professional who loves to help people answer the question, “Where do I go from here?” A former journalist, he believes that asking the right questions and finding answers is the key to financial empowerment. Over 15 years of serving clients in Arizona and across the U.S., David has discovered that financial struggles often stem not from a lack of resources, but from a lack of understanding about them. This insight has led him to develop a dialogue and solution-focused approach to financial planning, helping clients craft the outcomes they desire for their own stories.
With a proven ability to turn financial obstacles into opportunities, David is a recognized authority on guiding individuals through recovery from death, divorce, and disability. Some of his proudest accomplishments include helping a grandmother retire early to care for her disabled granddaughter, assisting a father battling brain cancer to organize his affairs and leave a legacy for his children, and supporting countless spouses as they rebuild their lives after the loss of a partner. Above all, David is committed to being a compassionate problem-solver. His support for clients extends beyond financial matters - he has even helped write obituaries during times of grief.
Since joining Moors & Cabot, Inc. in 2019, David has built an independent advisory practice focused on helping clients build resilience, anticipate the future, and reduce the stress of life’s uncertainties. While many advisors aim to provide a broad range of services, David sets himself apart by forming active partnerships with estate planning attorneys, tax advisors, and - most importantly - the family members his clients want to protect. David is the proud father of four sons. He and his wife Jen are avid animal welfare advocates and share their home with a loving Rottweiler named Cody. As a family, they enjoy hiking Arizona’s beautiful trails, swimming, and reading together. In his free time, David also enjoys cooking, BBQing, and landscape photography.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
