John started his career on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange in 1985. He has a broad financial background, having traded options, preferred stock, convertible bonds, and equities seated in New York and Boston. John was the Head of Institutional Equity Sales and Trading at Tucker Anthony and Hancock Institutional Equity Services. He was an Institutional Equity Sales Trader on the Moors & Cabot desk for seven years before leaving to form the Callahan, Sullivan Wealth Management Group at Merrill Lynch in Boston.
John is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Julianne, have three children who are all in college: Jack, (Clemson University), Casen, and Georgia (Denison University).
