About
Michael
Michael began his financial planning career over 26 years ago with Fidelity Investments in Boston. During his tenure, he was chosen to pilot two of Fidelity’s first High Net Worth client initiatives. The first was “Premium Services”, which assisted clients with a liquid net worth of $500K and above. With its success, “The Private Access Group” evolved to service clients’ portfolios above $2M. He then spent three years with JP Morgan Private Bank on a team that managed client assets totaling over $500M. Taking his business private over the next 15 years, he has built a full service financial planning practice. Michael joined the Moors & Cabot team in November of 2012.
Investment Philosophy
Having spent his entire career in the financial planning and management sector working for diversified group of employers, Michael’s practice has evolved to focus on Full Service Financial Planning. His philosophy is that all facets of a client’s life have an effect on their financial planning. It is a priority, up front and ongoing, to gain clarity around each client’s individual situation. By garnering information around time frames, risk tolerances, preferences, family, finances, taxes, goals, and experiences, he—together with his clients—makes fully educated decisions and creates sound financial solutions. The tools that Moors & Cabot provides are extensive, and Michael utilizes some of the world’s most powerful financial resources to create flexible and innovative strategies. He is fully licensed in both securities and insurance. Some of the services that Michael provides for his clients are Portfolio Review and Development, Retirement Planning, Income Planning, Education Planning, Trust & Estate Planning, Insurance and Annuity guidance, Alternative Investments, Business 401(k)’s and Succession Planning, Fixed Income Planning, and Trust Services.
