About
Stephen Frederick
Steve joined Moors & Cabot in 2001 and was promoted to Branch Manager in 2004, bringing over 25 years of experience as a financial professional. He offers a well-rounded, personalized approach, specializing in comprehensive financial planning designed to meet specific financial goals.
Steve’s planning-based approach goes beyond investments to address the full spectrum of a family’s financial life, including their deeply personal concerns, needs, and wants. By focusing on both the technical aspects (taxes, cash flow, risk management) and the emotional dynamics (relationships, values, well-being) of wealth, he helps families move from anxiety to clarity and confidence. The financial plan serves as a living document and a central coordinating strategy that holds each party accountable to the agreed-upon objectives. His work includes robust legacy and succession planning to help ensure a smooth, well-prepared wealth transfer for future generations.
Steve holds licenses in Insurance, Securities, and he is an Investment Advisor Representative. He utilizes a tailored selection of financial platforms to execute goal-driven strategies for both individual clients and organizations, including helping several non-profits with their personalized investment needs and making Investment Policy recommendations.
An Arlington, VA native, Steve is active in his family, community, and church. He supported his daughters in collegiate rowing and world-level Irish dance. Steve is deeply involved in the non-profit sector, having chaired his church's Finance and Staff Parish Relations Committees. A dedicated Veterans advocate, he supports Sons and Daughters in Touch (SDIT), the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, and the National League of POW/MIA Families. A registered boat Captain and former sailing instructor, he also supports the Potomac Swim for the Environment. Additionally, he is a mountain bike enthusiast that previously served on the board of Phoenix Bikes, a non-profit mentoring at-risk youth.
