Michael
Michael is a 37-year veteran of the investment industry. He has been an advisor at Moors & Cabot since 2005. Prior to working at Moors & Cabot, Michael worked as a financial advisor in the Boston offices of Tucker Anthony/ RBC Dain Rauscher and Bear Stearns & Co. Michael is a graduate of Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel and has a Masters in Business Administration from Boston University. Michael holds numerous securities and insurance licenses.
Michael began his career as a CPA for Touche Ross & Co. (now known as Deloitte) before concluding that his true passions lie in the investment world. His financial accounting and tax background, along with his extensive investment experience, enable Michael to comprehensively understand the needs of his clients and to choose a suitable portfolio management path.
Michael has a flexible practice whereby his clients may opt for commission-based services or fee-based investment management. Michael takes a comprehensive wealth management approach and believes one of the most important aspects of his practice is providing a high level of customer service. Revisiting financial goals and risk tolerance are part of an ongoing dialogue that forms the backbone of this relationship. Michael spends a considerable amount of his time on research and reads an extensive array of publications and SEC filings. He also speaks and often meets with the senior executives of companies where he believes there may be investment opportunities.
Michael is able to cater to a large variety of investment needs. His expertise includes tax-exempt bonds, corporate bonds, laddering of fixed-incomeportfolios, FDIC insured certificates of deposit, corporate and individual retirement planning, retirement plan rollovers (401(k), 403(b), etc.), value investing, domestic and foreign equities, closed-end and open-end mutual funds, ETFs, dividend maximization strategies, college funding plans, foreign investments, and estate planning.
Michael and his wife Carol reside in Medfield, MA. His hobbies include chess, bicycling, golfing, and hiking. Michael and Carol contribute extensively to a wide variety of charities in the conservation, medical, educational, religious, and general needs areas.
